Parcel number (APN) lookup
Enter a street address to find its parcel. Signed out, parcel search shows the site address, city, state, and assessed value, and each row links to the parcel record. Opening the record needs a free account. The same lookup works across counties by API and MCP.
Free: 1,000 lookups a month, no card. Looking up the owner, or the permits on the same address? Use the free property owner lookup or the building permit lookup.
What you get
A signed-out address search on parcel search shows:
- Address
- City
- State
- Assessed value, when the search index has one
Each result row links to the parcel record. Opening that record needs a free account.
Other ways to find a parcel number
- The property tax bill, usually near the top, labeled with whatever the county calls the number.
- The deed or closing documents, often on the first page under a tax parcel or APN heading.
- The county assessor's address search. In much of New England the town runs that search.
- The county GIS map, where a parcel polygon opens a popup with the number.
The full explainer, including how counties format the number, is What is a parcel number (APN)?
By API or MCP
The same lookup is one call on the REST API: GET /api/v1/parcels/{id} returns the parcel for a canonical state:county:parcel_id. On the hosted MCP server, parcel_lookup accepts that canonical id, a street address, or a raw APN. Connect it from the real estate MCP server page.
Parcel number questions
- Is an APN the same as a parcel number?
- Yes. APN (assessor's parcel number), parcel ID, PIN, tax ID, folio, and similar names all mean the county's identifier for a parcel. The label depends on the county.
- How do I find the parcel number for my address?
- Search the address above. Parcel search lists the matching address, city, state, and assessed value, and the row links to the parcel record, which a free account opens. You can also check your tax bill, deed, or the county assessor's site.
- Why does the same number show up in two counties?
- Parcel numbers are only unique within the county that issued them, so PropRaven pairs each one with its state and county.
- Is the parcel number lookup free?
- Yes. The Free plan is $0: 1,000 lookups a month, full records in the web app (owner, sales, permits, value and risk), and self-serve API keys. No card required and no sales call. Address search on this page works without an account. Opening a parcel record needs a free account. Paid plans start at $99 a month for 100k lookups with the full API, SDKs, webhooks and the MCP connector.
